Welcome to our second part of Cloth Wipe Solution 101. You can read Part One here. In this post we are going to cover two more different types of cloth wipe solution, the add water and the ready-to-use solutions.
This type of cloth wipe solution is definitely easier than making your own and using wipe cubes. With this one, you usually add a few squirts to a cup or two of warm water, mix and you’re done. Takes next to no time and you don’t have to wait for the water to cool off, it’s ready to go right away. Just add water solutions tend to come in a variety of different scents, which is nice for trying out. With this solution, you should be able to wash your wipes with your diapers, but check the ingredients on the brand you try to be sure. If there are any oils, it is best to wash your wipes separately.
The positive is that this solution is ready to use quickly and easy to mix up. The con is that this type is less cost effective than making your own (if you’re not buying anything special to use) and wipe cubes.
Ready To Use
Ready to use wipe solution is the absolutely easiest solution there is on the market. You open the bottle and spray your wipe, it doesn’t get much easier than that. Similar to the just add water solution, you will want to double check if the ready to use solution has any oils in it so that you will know whether or not you can wash your wipes with your diapers.
The big positive with this type of wipe solution is that it is super easy to use. It is also very handy for the diaper bag. You can keep your wipes dry and spray them as you need them, so no need to carry an extra little wet bag for your wipes. The downside is that it tends to be the most expensive of the wipe solution options and you have to make sure you have an extra bottle on hand before you run out of your current supply.
